No this is not MY leg but it is a good pic of what my leg looked like 2 days after the spider bit me in my bed on June 25th. By the following Sunday it had gotten the size of a tennis ball and turned black! By Monday when I saw the Doctor my whole lower leg was red as a beet and so feverish it melted and ice pack in FIVE minutes! When I got a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics given I was put in the hospital so they could continue the antibiotic treatment in a controlled environment. Although I was not looking forward to this Birthday it passed quietly and in a very drugged out state ( not a bad way to get older!!).

The bite area has healed and the redness is pretty well gone but the hives...well, I am told that could take 8-10 weeks to go away (I'm 1/2 way there...)! Prayers and good friends have gotten me through this looong, itchy, miserable month. This will definitely be a Birthday I won't soon forget!!
